Collection: Jody Lyle
Jody Lyle grew up in Santa Fe, NM surrounded by artists, and their work. She was encouraged in the arts, and inspired by the beauty and natural wonder of her environment. The need to create things by hand has always been a driving force in her life.
“As a kid, I realized that in order to feel like it was a good day, I needed to make something”.
Working with sterling silver in high school, she fell in love with its color, feel, and potential. She’s studied under masters, and with fellow enthusiasts—honing techniques and gathering inspiration. Most recently she attended a workshop with Navajo artist Richard Tsosie at Idyllwild Arts Academy focusing on stone inlay.
Jody designs organically, finding inspiration in her materials. From sterling to gold, from precious stones to beach rocks, her work explores themes of elemental nature, artisanship, and whimsy.
She teaches casting, stone setting, metal forming, and fabrication regularly at Bainbridge’s BARN. When not in her studio, she enjoys walking in the woods, traveling, and combing the beaches with her furry friends.
