Collection: Jody Yashenko
Jody Yashenko, born in 1977 in San Diego County, has called Gig Harbor, Washington her home since 1997. A graduate of The University of Puget Sound with a Bachelor of Arts, Jody honed her craft under the tutelage of the accomplished painter Melissa Weinman. Her artistic journey began at Fresh Northwest Design, where she served as the lead fine artist following her graduation.
Primarily working with oils, Jody's artistic repertoire also extends to sculpting in wood and clay. She carries a rich artistic lineage, drawing inspiration from her family's creative roots, which played a significant role in nurturing her deep love for art.
Jody's creative wellspring is fueled by her fascination with history and storytelling. Her work often exudes a nostalgic charm, drawing viewers into intricate still life composed with vintage toys and collectibles from her personal trove. Through her art, she aspires to craft contemplative, occasionally whimsical moments that encourage viewers to pause and find their own source of creativity.
