Artist Statement:

This Plein Air piece is larger than I normally attempt when painting from life. I wanted to capture the effect of the light as it came around the edge of this bluff. Timing is everything. So I set up, got in my drawings as well as the shadow part of the bluff and then waited for the sun to start doing it's magic!
