Giclee Print Information: Tim Pfeiffer
Tim Pfeiffer offers prints of most of his art. Please inquire if you are interested in a particular print.
We have included two pages of print prices for figuring various archival giclee print sizes on high quality paper or gallery wrap canvas (ready to hang). We additionally offer metal prints up to 24x24 in size.
We will be happy to figure out aspect ratios and print prices for you, but if you would like to figure yourself, we also offer a link here to an aspect ratio calculator to resize your print from the original configuration :

Why Giclée?
Giclée is pronounced “jee-clay” from the French, meaning “to spray.” Currently giclée printing is the highest quality form of art reproduction available to us. To print a giclée, we start with a high-resolution digital photograph or scanned image of at least 300 dpi. We are fortunate to have available to us, professional photography along with expert giclee printing from our own local award-winning photographer who won the 2016 Audubon Grand Prize out of 7,000 submitted images. We would not offer giclée prints if they were not top quality. We can attest that these are the best we have ever seen and offer unparalleled color matching, clarity and quality.
Next, we use a high-quality, ink jet printer that will print at least 600 dpi (300 dpi is fine if printing small) and “spray” the best archival pigment ink colors available – usually about 10 colors - onto special archival paper or canvas. A traditional ink jet printer has only 4 CMYK ink colors which are dyes not pigments. Dye ink fades over time, but pigment ink will last for generations if kept out of the sun and in a stable environment. (All artwork fades in the sun!)
At the Carrie Goller Gallery, archival quality giclée prints are available from most of our artist’s original works and start at just $120. Signed by the artist, our museum grade archival giclée reproductions are available in various sizes; from 8” – 40” in width to limitless length (depending on the image ratio). These giclée’s are printed on acid free, high- quality, archival paper or gallery wrapped canvas.
PRINT OPTIONS: Please contact us directly if you are interested in any of these options:
· Gallery Wrapped, Canvas Giclée Print: A gallery wrapped, canvas giclée print has a 1.5" edge which is painted black, or you may choose to have the front image extended around the edge – thus no frame is required.
· Paper Giclée Print: There is often a white border around the image of a paper giclée print, depending on the width and length ratio of the printed image.
· Framing: Framing is not necessary for the beautiful gallery wrapped canvas giclée prints. However, if you choose to have your giclée framed, only canvas is available framed, and it is done so in a classic black wooden float frame at a reasonable, additional charge. *This service is not available for all prints.
· Metal Prints: Metal prints are available up to 20”x20”.
· Shipping: You can choose whether you would like to pick-up your giclée at the Carrie Goller Gallery or require shipping (inquire if shipping outside the USA). Although it usually takes much less time, please allow two weeks for your order to be received. Rush orders are available for an additional fee.
· Returns: There are no returns for these custom prints, unless there is an unforeseen problem with the order.
